Zheng Hairong

Zheng Hairong is Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor and Vice President of Nanjing University. His research focus on medical imaging information technology and instrumentation, and acoustic/magnetic biophysics. He is a recipient of the National Outstanding Young Scientist Award of China, National Technological Invention Award , and First Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. He is the principal investigator of the China 973 plan, a special fund of Scientific Instruments of NSFC. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Colorado at Boulder in 2006. Then he served as project scientist in the Biomedical Engineering Department, the University of California Davis, and as an associate researcher, researcher, and deputy dean at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Currently, he is also Director of the National Innovation Center for Advanced Medical Devices, and Director of Key Laboratory of Medical Imaging Science and Technology System, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
