Tan Hairen awarded "National Model Worker of Industry and Information Technology System"

On April 27, 2025, the Commendation Conference for Advanced Collectives, Model Workers and Outstanding Workers of National Industry and Information Technology System was held in Beijing. 373 individuals were awarded the title of "Model Workers of National Industry and Information Technology System". NJU Professor Tan Hairen of the School of Modern Engineering and Applied Sciences was selected!

Tan Hairen is a professor at the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Nanjing University. He studied at Central South University, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Delft University of Technology, and received his Undergraduate, Master's and Doctorate degrees. Before joining NJU, he did postdoctoral research at University of Toronto. 

Tan Hairen's research focuses on semiconductor optoelectronic materials and devices, perovskite solar cells and material development and device design of high-efficiency multi junction photovoltaic devices. He has published research findings on leading academic journals including Science, Nature Communications, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Energy, Advanced Materials. He has also actively promoted the industrialization of new chalcogenide photovoltaic technology.
