On the afternoon of September 18, Xin Changxing, Secretary of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, and Liu Xiaotao, Governor of Jiangsu Province, met with the winners of the Fifth "Zijin Culture Medal" and "Jiangsu Leading Academics in Social Science" and presented awards, expressing warm congratulations to the winners on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, and extending lofty respect and sincere greetings to the vast number of cultural and literary workers and philosophy and social sciences researchers across the province. Three professors from Nanjing University, Fan Conglai, Tang Zhengdong, and Cheng Zhangcan, were awarded the title of the Fifth "Jiangsu Leading Academics in Social Sciences."

"Jiangsu Leading Academics inSocial Sciences" is one of the highest honors in the field of publicity, ideology and culture in Jiangsu Province. A total of 5 scholars across the province received this title in this session, 3 of whom are from NJU. The three professors have long devoted themselves to teaching and research, diligently pursuing scholarship and nurturing talent in their respective fields, and have made positive contributions to the prosperity and development of the philosophy and social science cause in Jiangsu.
