As the cycle of seasons returns to spring and the new year begins, as the bell of 2026 is about to ring, we, on behalf of the CPC Nanjing University Party Committee and NJU Administration, extend our sincerest New Year greetings and best wishes to all faculty, staff, retirees, alumni around the world, and all friends who care for and support NJU!

Looking back at the beautiful picture of 2025, it is painted with our perseverance and hard work, deepening reform and innovation. The sparks of thought inside and outside the classroom, the lights burning all night in the laboratories, the youthful brilliance shining on the "Challenge Cup" stage, the voice of NJU resounding on the international exchange stage, the comforting warmth on campus, and the distant concerns sent by alumni from all over the world together form the uplifting and warm memories of NJUers for the year.

This year, what we have jointly built is the cornerstone of faith; what we have jointly drawn is the blueprint for the future; what we have jointly solidified is the foundation of talent cultivation; what we have jointly climbed is the peak of excellence; what we have jointly explored is the opportunity for development; what we have jointly protected is the warmth of our home.

What seems ordinary is most extraordinary; what seems easy is achieved with difficulty. We deeply understand that every achievement is fundamentally due to the scientific guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the inspiration from General Secretary Xi Jinping's important reply letter. Its source lies in the hard work of all faculty and staff; its support comes from the deep affection and strong assistance of hundreds of thousands of NJU alumni and friends from all walks of life. Here, we extend our highest respect and most heartfelt thanks to everyone!

The year 2026 marks the start of the "15th Five-Year Plan" and is a crucial year for NJU to overcome obstacles and reach new heights in building a world-class university with Chinese characteristics. Let us rally more closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, deeply study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the important spirit from General Secretary Xi Jinping's reply letter to our young scholars returning from overseas. Let us further remember the entrustment, advance with gratitude, and with a leading spirit and tireless state, deepen reform and innovation, strengthen practical efforts, and forge our passion, wisdom, and enthusiasm into the process of building a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.
