On December 27, the seventh Campus Mini Marathon at Nanjing University kicked off with enthusiasm on Xianlin campus. A total of 2,700 students and faculty gathered at Er Yuan Square, bidding farewell to the old year and welcoming the new 2026 through the vitality of running, embodying NJUers' spirit of youth, progress, and perseverance. Sun Leqiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Nanjing University Committee and Director of the Organization Department, attended the event and delivered a speech.

Sun Leqiang stated that NJU consistently aligns with national strategies, upholding the educational philosophy of "health first" and considering sports as a crucial foundation for talent cultivation. The university actively promotes sunshine sports competitions to advance high-quality development in university sports. He hopes that students and faculty will use today's run as a starting point, transforming the passion on the track into determination to overcome challenges, bravely undertaking missions in talent cultivation, reaching new heights in scientific research, and leading the way in serving the nation!

Before the race, the Nanjing University cheerleading and dragon dance teams delivered exciting performances to warm up the crowd.

All participants engaged in warm-up exercises under the guidance of Coach Zhou Xian from the Sports Department.

All guests signaled the start of the race with a whistle.

With the sound of the starting signal, over 2,700 students and faculty members surged forward from the starting line.

The advancing members of NJUers stride forward, synchronizing their breaths with the pulse of the times, and showcasing their strength with every step, ready to embrace the forthcoming 2026 with a spirited and uplifting demeanor!

Shi Linmiao, Secretary of the Freshman Academy Party Committee, awarded the top three male winners.
