Since its establishment, the School has achieved remarkable results in serving national strategic needs, enhancing moral and educational outcomes, accelerating team building, and promoting high-quality discipline development. Faculty and students have worked together to write a vibrant chapter in the university's comprehensive "Forging Ahead Initiative" and the acceleration of "Double First-Class" construction. The School of International Relations is tasked with strengthening research in international relations, area studies, and international organizations, promoting the construction of NJU's distinctive area studies disciplines, cultivating high-level diplomatic talents with both national sentiment and international vision, and addressing China's prominent issues in international exchanges. It is an indispensable part of the grand blueprint for building the "unique Nanjing University." He hoped that the School of International Studies would strive to become an academic stronghold serving the Party and national work, a model for building an independent knowledge system in Chinese philosophy and social sciences, and write a new chapter in accelerating the construction of a world-class Nanjing University with Chinese characteristics.

Qiu Yuanping congratulated the School on its new location, calling it the "coming-of-age ceremony" for the School of International Studies. She noted that NJU has a profound academic foundation in international politics and relations, and the establishment and development of the School of International Studies can serve national foreign strategies, boost Jiangsu's open development, and enhance NJU's "Double First-Class" construction. In just four years, the School has made significant progress in party building, discipline development, teaching and research, talent cultivation, and administrative management, displaying vibrant vitality. Qiu emphasized that China's diplomatic practice in the century's changes needs strong intellectual support more than ever. She hopes the School will urgently address national needs in cultivating internationalized composite talents and research directions, actively promote teaching and research reform and innovation, and contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the construction of a community with a shared future for humanity.
