On February 28, Tan Tieniu, Chair of NJU CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), leads a NJU delegation to China Logistics Group Co., Ltd. (China Logistics Group) to discuss on strategic cooperation and collaborative innovation between the two sides. Liu Jingzhen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Logistics Group presided over the meeting.

Tan expressed his gratitude to China Logistics Group. He introduced NJU's history and remarkable achievements in recent years in serving the national strategy of science, education and talents, and promoting the cooperation between universities and enterprises. With the rapid development in the field of artificial intelligence, the reconstruction of the global industrial chain and the revolution of logistics technology are forming a new historic convergence. Tan expects China Logistics Group and NJU to cooperate in many fields such as AI technology, research outcomes transformation, talent cultivation, think-tank consultance, employment guidance, and regional and country studies, etc., so as to make new and greater contributions to the development of the logistics industry and the construction of modern circulation system together.

Liu welcomed the NJU delegation and introduced the history, main business and development vision of China Logistics Group. He said that NJU has a long history and outstanding reputation, and the two sides have a good foundation for cooperation, and in the field of "AI+Logistics" there is a broad space for cooperation and development prospects. He expects the two sides to deepen the integration of industry and education through the construction of the Joint Innovation Research Institute, accelerate the deep embedding of AI technology into the core business of logistics, create richer and higher quality model algorithm products, and provide more high-quality services for key industries and regions related to national economy and people's livelihood.

Zheng Hairong, Vice President of NJU and Academician of the CAS, introduced the current cooperation between the two sides, and talked about the future cooperation between the two sides in 9 categories of application scenarios construction including the visual identification, warehouse scheduling, logistics procurement and others. He hoped that the two sides will deepen practical cooperation around the innovative application of digital technology in various business processes, business objects and business scenarios in the supply chain to achieve mutual benefits .

Before the meeting, NJU delegation visited the dispatching centre of China Logistics Group to learn about the recent development and achievements of the enterprise.
Liang Weihua, Deputy General Manager, Wei Dong, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Ni Shizheng, Head of the Group Office and heads of relevant departments of China Logistics Group attended the meeting. Heads of relevant Schools and administrative departments of NJU participated in the meeting.
