Tan Tieniu sends New Year's greetings to teachers, students and staff staying on campus

On January 26, as the Chinese New Year is approaching, Tan Tieniu, Chair of NJU CPC Council and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences visited teachers, students and staff staying on campus and sends his warmest regards to them. Tan firstly visited dormitories and exchanged with students. While sending them New Year gift packages, he said to them that NJU is students' family, hence the university will make careful arrangements and make sure every student can enjoy the Spring Festival just like at home.

Then he visited different departments on campus including the University Hospital, the Security Office, to check out their work schedules during the winter break and expressed his gratitudes to the staff.

He also visited teachers and students who were still working in laboratories. He carefully checked the operation of the laboratory monitoring and early warning system of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and stressed the absolute necessity to strengthen the real-time monitoring and management of hazardous chemicals, resolutely guard against all kinds of risks, and put an end to potential safety hazards.

Lastly, he visited a canteen on campus and communicated with teachers and students to ask for their advice and suggestions. He asked the canteen to increase the supply of New Year's seasonal dishes during the Spring Festival, prepare New Year's Eve dinner, and carefully arrange New Year's Eve activities, so that teachers and students staying on campus can also experience a heartwarming Chinese New Year.
