On behalf of the university, Tan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Choi, who has long been concerned about and supported the development of NJU and has made many generous donations. The donation this time not only strengthens the momentum for the university to further promote the construction of information technology, but also provides strong support for accelerating the construction of a world-class NJU. He confirmed that NJU will turn this friendship into the driving force for progress and deepen the cooperation between the two sides.

Dr. Choi recalled the establishment of the relationship between Sunwah Group and NJU in the 1990s. He said that it is an honour for the Choi family to name the building of NJU Information Technology Construction Management Service Centre after his father and to construct the "Jonathan K. S. Choi Data Centre" with NJU. He looked forward to further strengthening the communication between the two sides in various fields.

Suo Wenbin, Vice President of NJU chaired the ceremony
Dr. Choi has long been enthusiastic about public welfare and philanthropy, and is particularly concerned about the cause of higher education in China. This donation of RMB 10 million to support the development of NJU is another generous act after the donation of the "Software R&D Centre" and the "Jonathan K. S. Choi Art Gallery" to the university during its Centennial Anniversary. In order to express the gratitude to the Choi family, the university has decided to name the Information Technology Construction Management Service Centre as "Choi Kai Yau Building", and to construct the "Jonathan K. S. Choi Data Centre" with Sunwah Group.
