On November 5, 2024, the delegation from ATAL Engineering Group headquartered in Hong Kong, visited Nanjing University. Dr. Poon Lok To, Otto, Founder and Executive Director of the Group, and Dr. Mak Kin Wah, Chairman and Executive Director of the Group led the delegtion. Tan Tieniu, Chair of the University CPC Committee and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), met with the guests at NJU Xianlin Campus.

On behalf of Nanjing University, Tan expressed a warm welcome to Dr. Poon and the delegation. He pointed out that NJU has a prominent advantage in environmental science and has attained notable achievements in industrial wastewater treatment, making great contributions to water management. Tan also emphasized that NJU will fully leverage its disciplinary advantages to provide technical support for ATAL Engineering Group in the environmental protection industry, hoping for in-depth cooperation and joint efforts in future development.

Dr. Poon introduced the Group's development in environmental protection. He stated that NJU and the Group have established a solid foundation for cooperation over the years. In response to new situations and demands, ATAL Engineering Group is committed to continually strengthen exchanges and cooperation with NJU.

On the same day, Dr. Poon and his delegation visited the School of Environment, and discussed with the NJU experts on industry-university-research collaboration. Ren Hongqiang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Dean of the School of Environment attended the discussion.
