Recently, Tan Tieniu, Chair of the University CPC Committee and Academician of the CAS, led a delegation to the University of Edinburgh, and met with Prof. Peter Mathieson, Principal of the University of Edinburgh.
Tan Tieniu proposed that the two universities should further promote high-level research cooperation and talent training in fields such as life sciences, medicine, and computer science. The two sides also discussed potential joint education programs for establishing a comprehensive and pragmatic partnership.
Additionally, the delegation held a roundtable meeting with experts and scholars in the engineering field of the university. They exchanged ideas on research cooperation and joint talent training in areas such as materials science, medicine and biomedicine, and earth sciences. They discussed the pathways and schemes for future cooperation.
