On June 28, 2026, "Wisdom Sculpts Jiangnan, Charm Ushers in a New Chapter" -- The 7th China Youth Sculpture Biennale was held at Jinji Lake, Suzhou. The event was guided by the China Urban Sculptors Association, organized by the Jiangsu Sculptors Association, the School of Arts at Nanjing University, and Sungent Harmony Development, and hosted by the Institute of Sculpture Art at Nanjing University and Harmony Art Center.

Wu Weishan, Standing Committee Member and Deputy Secretary General of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League, Professor at Nanjing University; Yao Xiaodong, former Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles; Zhou Jun, Vice Chairman of the Suzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Gao Po, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Xinhua Daily; Liao Jun, Deputy Director of the Art Committee of the World Ecological Design Organization, former President of Suzhou Institute of Arts and Crafts; Yao Jianping, Vice Chairman of the China Folk Literature and Art Association; Zhou Chunliang, Deputy Minister of the Organization Department of the Suzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC and Director of the Compilation Office; Liu Chun, Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department of the Suzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC, Director of the Municipal Cyberspace Administration, and Director of the Municipal Government Information Office; and Zhao Kuiying, Dean of the School of Arts at Nanjing University attended the ceremony. Professor Shang Rong, Vice Dean of the School of Arts at Nanjing University, provided an overview of the exhibition.

This exhibition is themed "Wisdom Sculpts Jiangnan, Charm Ushers in a New Chapter" and unfolds around three sections: "Cultural Heritage and Tradition", "The Era and Innovation" and "Wisdom Shaping the Future". Multiple works by NJU faculty and students were featured, showcasing the institution's notable achievements in sculpture creation, public arts practice, and young talents cultivation in recent years. This biennale represents a significant initiative by the university to bring art education into real-world communities, contribute to urban cultural development, and enhance the societal impact of art disciplines.

Professor Shang Rong, Vice Dean of the School of Art, created the sculpture titled "Shan He Qing Hui" (The Clear Light of Mountains and Rivers).

Ren Yanming, Deputy Director of the Sculpture Art Research Institute at the School of Arts, created the sculpture "Walking and Reciting" (originally "The Scene of Poetry Recitation" has been revised for better fidelity).

Cheng Jia'ao, a graduate student in the Sculpture program at the Art College, created the sculpture titled "I Walk in the Wild" (revised from "I Live My Wild Life" to better reflect the classical allusion).

Li Daoxi, a graduate student in the Sculpture program at the Art College, created the sculpture titled "Xi".

Wang Jianing, a graduate student in the Sculpture program at the Art College, created the sculpture titled "A Brief Rest".
