
基本简介
著名无机化学家。江西吉安人,1934年1月24日生。现任南京大学配位化学研究所所长、教授、博士生导师。他于1955年毕业于武汉大学化学系。1955—1957年在南京大学化学系攻读研究生,毕业后留校工作,历任化学系助教、讲师、副教授,其间,1962—1964年参加高教部在吉林大学主办的物质结构讨论班,1980—1982年为美国威斯康星大学、伊利诺大学和佛罗里达大学访问学者。1983年起任南京大学配位化学研究所所长,1985年至今为南京大学化学系教授。1991年11月当选为中国科学院化学部学部委员(院士)。
研究方向: 新型配合物的合成、组装、结构和性质的基础性研究;配合物的成键和波谱理论研究;分子和超分子化学的光电功能材料研究。

现任南京大学配位化学研究所名誉所长,配位化学国家重点实验室学术委员会主任,国务院学位委员会化学组评委,《无机化学评论》国际编委,《中国科学》化学部编委,中国化学会《无机化学学报》主编。曾任中国化学会常务理事、无机学科委员会主任,国家自然科学奖和自然科学基金委员会化学组评委,《英国皇家学会道尔顿通讯》、《斯堪的纳维亚化学学报》、《无机化学通讯》国际编委。

早期他致力于无机化学的基础研究,特别是关于配位化合物的合成、结构、成键和性质研究。综合运用现代物理方法和理论着眼于微观结构和宏观性质的阐明,其主要成果为:① 新型配合物的合成和结构:发展了新的混合三聚反应和方便的全共轭双金属双烯配合物合成方法,合成了一系列新的大环配合物,金属有机化合物,有机杂多酸盐,以及其它过渡金属多核和簇合物,并测定了它们的晶体结构,丰富了无机化学的内容;② 用谱学方法研究溶液中配合物的物理化学参数:利用核磁共振方法研究溶液中配合物的平衡常数、交换速率常数及反应机理,从顺磁共振谱研究溶液中配合物结构及成键,自旋哈密顿g和A参数,从电子光谱和气相色谱法研究了EC方程参数及加合物的线性自由能规律;③ 配合物的成键和谱学计算:将核磁共振化学位移的理论计算推广到包括d、f轨道的配合物,应用自然杂化轨道理论对簇合物进行了多中心键定域处理,从超分子概念发展了二阶非线性光学倍频系数的计算方法,得到了简化的定域自旋和磁性耦合常数的计算方法,扩展了混合电解质活度系数、离子极化率、核四极矩、分子拓扑指数等计算的半经验公式,从量子化学计算对簇状化合物的电子结构和光化学反应机理等一系列结构和性质的关系作了系统的研究。近十年来,他专志于他早在1986年首次在我国提出的“光电功能配合物”这一新学科分支的研究。着眼于超分子作用概念和基于材料科学和生命科学相关的分子设计和工程,主要成果为:①多维配位空间结构的构筑:首次组装了配合物基块硅酸盐型开孔类沸石和光学活性手性拆分功能的三维类沸石晶体,无机-有机杂化主客体包合型配位聚合物;②电荷转移型光电功能配合物:发展了新的MOCVD半导体前体物,二硫烯配合物导体,固体发光和摩擦发光配合物,设计组装了一系列Λ型和离子型非线性光学配合物;③ 分子磁性晶体:合成了新型多维有序磁性过渡金属配合物;筛选出了具有明确晶体结构的热诱导自旋转换Fe(Ⅱ)配合物。
